Mardi Gras '25
A team from the Christ for the Nations Institute (CFNI) sends a team every year during Mardi Gras to New Orleans, Louisiana, to evangelize in the streets. They do this every year, and always make an amazing impact in the Kingdom of God.
CFNI has been doing this trip for several decades now, and they have no plans on stopping in the near future! The impact they make every year is clear with the church buildings within the city, where many of the people that the team meets on the streets end up going to the church and begin getting discipled. Our Community Engagement Coordinator, Selah Clark, went with this team in March, 2025. Here's her side of the story.
"On this trip our primary calling was evangelism, to share the Gospel. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made because the Lord had placed it on my heart beforehand. I was stretched beyond my comfort zone, and He used that stretching to help me grow. There were so many moments I wanted to give up. I carried a sign that read “How can I pray for you?” and sometimes people gave me strange looks, but others welcomed it. When nothing seemed to happen, I prayed, “Lord, if I can reach just one person, I’m satisfied,” and He always brought that one person to me. In those low moments He reminded me that He, too, experienced rejection and that He was with me. Though it was challenging, the trip was worth it for His kingdom, and it showed me how willing He is to partner with His children." - Selah Clark
